Why arent Goldcrests available to order in plain black coutil? Simple reason, I find very dark colours exhausting to work with. I already wear glasses, spend most of my time bent over fine details (which requires a lot of concentration), and working with black makes things much more tiring. I want to be making visual art/work for a long time yet so I dont want to destroy my eyes too soon! That said, I will accept commissions in black (I have a couple on the table at the moment), I just dont want it to be the bulk of my work. And trust me, if you put black as an option on these sorts of listings, 80% of your orders will be for that option. But if youre ever desperate for the archetypal classic black underbust do just ask.
