Why did it take over THIRTY years for John Madden to get voted into the NFL Hall of Fame...and when they did vote him in it was as a broadcaster and contributor/promoter of the sport?! For over TEN YEARS, the man had a 68% winning percentage...SEVEN out of every TEN games...not the highest in the NFL. It is the highest - to this day - of ANY pro sport..MLB, NFL, NBA. Marv Levy and Jim Kelly LOST FOUR SBs in a row....they are in the Hall of Fame. Jim Plunkett WON two Super Bowls and was MVP of one of them. He is NOT in the Hall of Fame. Tom Flores has FIVE Super Bowl victories as a player and a coach - he is NOT in the HOF...but, Marv Levy is!!! The NCAA annually awards the best collegiate punter the RAY GUY award....but he is not in the Hall of Fame. Who do you think INVENTED the COFFIN CORNER punt?! And... The Tuck Rule. The Immaculate Reception. The Holy Roller. The removal of Stick-Um from the NFL.... Nopes....there is absolutely, positively, NO bias of any kind against the Oakland Raiders and its late owner, Honestly, I did sympathize with the Niners and their fans for that penalty against Drew Brees (the Good Deacon - Deacon Jones, inventor of the SACK - is rolling over in his grave over that stupid penalty)....but, its amazing how that one call - against SF - got so much air time on the radio, TV, print media...what an uproar....but, for cryin out loud!!!! It was ONLY a regular season game...the TUCK rule (the Patriots WALKED off the field) cost Oakland an AFC Divisional Playoff game....and there was no where near the media coverage nor public indignation. We BEAT them...on the road...in their house....IN THE SNOW...and the shameless NFL spit on the common sense of every NFL fan with that....HOLD IT!!! Theres a call coming down from the booth!!!! Ahhhh....feel much better now:-). Peace and love folks....
