Why do Rescues and Shelters not recommend Responsible and Ethical - TopicsExpress

Why do Rescues and Shelters not recommend Responsible and Ethical Breeders but Responsible and Ethical Breeders recommend Rescues and Shelters and even help out????? I am put off from this article at the very first sentence and have to wonder how they can say as much with some of the issues these dogs can have, and are not meant for everyone and not going to a Responsible Breeder is more of a wiser decision. Let me get one thing straight before daggers are thrown my way. I am all for adopting from rescue or shelters but its not for everyone. Just the same, I feel a puppy isnt for everyone and have advised several to adopt instead of buying a pup or to adopt a retired dog from a Responsible Breeder that will be well socialized, tested. well trained and cared for which is more of a guarantee on its health, temperament, behavior and acceptance. Responsible Breeders work to socialize pups, have in robust health from day one, positive stimulation and offer assistance along the way. The first steps in life are crucial to be positive and well maintained for proper healthy, adjusted developement. There is no guarantee with that shelter dogs. Most shelter dogs come from irresponsible breeding and owners. This article in my view is anti breeder and is part of an agenda to bash Responsible Breeders. So yes, Im offended!!! So to this author, I guess I have a greater love to animals, an open mind, and honesty. pawnation/2014/05/10-problems-that-commonly-affect-shelter-dogs/
