Campbell was certainly instrumental and a driving force among Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist and others but he ended up really being the originator of the Disciples of Christ/Christian Church denominations. The church of Christ does not need restoring because it has never been defunct! It began in Jerusalem and we can read of its beginning there in Acts 2! Dont get me wrong, I love history and I love people who want to leave denominationalism for the true church of our Lord as it is found in the New Testament. We owe nothing to the denominationalism or the traditions of man. The Church of Christ was originated by Jesus Christ and not man. Our traditions are found in the New Testament.
