Why do some people feel that giving their love to someone that doesnt appreciate it is a waste of time? Because theyre focusing on getting the other person to return an acknowledgment or reciprocate the act of kindness rather than paying attention to how they feel in the act of loving itself. Therein lies the true reward of loving yourself by loving another. There is no such thing as love hurting....only your ego not getting its way. In love there is no expectation of a result because youre not trying to control an outcome. The nature of love is acceptance. That means youre ok with whatever way they respond cause how they respond isnt the point. You loving the person is.
