Why does God not get rid of the evil in the world? Why does He allow a rapist to do their evil act? Cant He stop murder? Child abuse? The answer is simple. He could but He does not. Some hate God for this and see Him as cruel for not stopping it. Others deny He exists for this very reason or that He is not interested or strong enough. But consider this. What sins should God stop and which ones should He allow to happen? In the spirit world, it is all or nothing. Any sin keeps you out of heaven. So if you adopt the philosophy that God should stop the worst of sins, then logically you must say He should stop every sin. Then that means the tens of thousands of sins each of us commit during a lifetime (some more some less) would also be stopped and judged by God. Pride? Stopped and judged. Lustful thoughts and looks. Stopped and judged. Little white lies. Stopped and judged. I hope you get the point. God hates the evil in the world, and I mean HATES it. But He still loves the sinner and wishes more than anything else that they would humble themselves before Him, admit He exists, be sorry for their sin, and place their faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Do not hate God for His patience with those who do evil, thank Him that the evil you do He is patient with too.
