Why does President Obama DO this? and continue to DO this? Sharpton? Yesterday, Sharpton was at the White House again! Look..we need to discuss race and racism...we can always use a dialogue in the country about race (and yes, other forms of bigotry) but it is disgraceful that President Obamas go to guy is Al Sharpton. Sharpton OWES his fellow taxpayers (per NY Times) $4.5 million to $5 million dollars. That is not a role model nor someone who can help ease the tensions. Sharpton should not get most favored nation status from the President until he gets square with the rest of the taxpayers (or on a payment plan at least.) Most Americans work really hard to pay their taxes and Sharpton thumbs his nose at them. At some point failure to pay goes from being a misdemeanor to a felony (willful failure to pay / tax evasion.) There are so many great African American leaders yet the President does this to the American people. I dont get it. By the way, why does President Obama ignore Senator Cory Booker? He was a Mayor in Newark and from what I read, a really good one who reached out to ALL his citizens. He is now in the US Senate and we should see more of him. There are also many, many African American pastors who are wonderful role models. So why Sharpton? And why does Sharpton get a pass from paying his taxes? [And why do I keep posting about Sharpton and talking about him ON THE RECORD at 7pm -- I am hoping that if enough people speak up, the President will wise up on this one.]
