Why does the ACC expect dogs who come into their “care” to - TopicsExpress

Why does the ACC expect dogs who come into their “care” to behave perfectly in what has to be a highly stressful situation? This is the case for Jerry, a white and tan pit bull mix who was left at a police station and therefore is a stray. Jerry is 5 years old and was not feeling mellow and friendly upon intake at the ACC. This makes sense as his life had just been turned upside down! One look at you can see he is the strong, silent type. Jerry is the sort of fellow who likes to spend his time getting to know a person first before submitting to pets and rubs. He wants to be sure he can develop that trusting bond with his human before letting down his guard to know and love. So in essence just a little time is all it will take to have Jerry be a forever furry friend. He has earned a New Hope only rating, so he will need the aid of an approved rescue group to pull him to safety tonight. Jerry is a mid-sized fellow at 55 pounds and muscular too. We can see Jerry loving to go for long walks, runs, and generally leading the active life. Unfortunately the active life and a loving home may not happen for Jerry as he has been placed on the ACC’s To Be Destroyed list tonight. Please help Jerry find that forever home. Share widely and advocate for Jerry tonight. His fate rests in our hands.
