Why does the Queensland government have no rules on controlling Ground Level Ozone produced by the gas industry? Its quite clearly part of what the Jenkyns family and other gas field residents are being afflicted by because its actually completely unavoidable. The science does exist on this. In the USA the EPA recognised the problems with VOC and ground level ozone and have enacted laws to try to reduce these VOC emissions. This seems to be a gross failure on both the part of the gas industry for not informing residents properly of their potential impact and the government for not enacting protections from air borne emissions.
