Why dont the Great Police officers make headlines? The ones who let you go with a warning. The ones that help the DA go easy on us. Esp at times giving some of us the chance to salvage a normal life. For those of us who have broken the law in one way or another. Know all to well. Not all laws are fair, esp not all punishments that are handed down. Surely arent suited for their purpose. More over no one should ever die over a committing a non violent crime. BUTT Just like in any job, cops and others alike; there are far too many persons whom should not be, or dont deserve the honor of steady employment. You can say this for absolutely any line of work! BUTT when shit gets nasty, I. just like all of you, am most probably dialing 911. So I prefer the best around to come to my aid when needed. I want the guy whom saved a life, or prevented the bad from getting worse. The ones whom make a real difference. They are out there, but all to often they dont make the head lines. So if your listening Mr Officer, when I dial 911 and you come to my aid I will go out of my way to give you recognition you deserve. Ive seen cops stand up for individual rights. Ive seen one officer go off on other cops for over stepping the boundaries of their power toward an average citizen. We expect a lot from Cops, so maybe if we would acknowledge the great ones more... Maybe more would step up to being great? I dont claim to have the answer to our social problems/disorders. Just a heart felt idea that I wanted to share. One simple fact I am sure we can all agree on. That probably goes recognized with out stating (but i will anywayz). We all know that Police Officers are not getting adequate financial compensation to do the line of work or perform the services which they provide, OR the rest of us would be waiting in line for enrollment at the police academy....
