Why hasn’t the very term, voter suppression, blown the tops of our heads off? What kind of democracy suppresses the vote? How can we go around yakking about Crimea, about Scarlett Johansson right to express herself, about a lost plane, when elected officials are actively involved in sabotaging the very purpose of a democracy, which is to allow each member of the democracy to vote? Oh, it’s because they want to make sure who is a member and who is not, right? Well, we know what bullshit that is, because ”they” don’t think anybody who doesn’t closely resemble their first cousin belongs or has any rights. The Anglos once tried this on the Irish, considering them ”white niggers,” and the Sicilians fell victim, and then the Hispanics, and now the Hispanics and the Arabs and the Native Americans and everybody else who doesn’t look like our white Northern European minority. Yeah, we know what this is about, but why aren’t we in the streets?
