Why is American reggae promoted & sold to larger audiences than Jamaican reggae? Have we forgotten where reggae music comes from? It breaks my heart to look at the ITunes reggae chart & see it dominated by American rock bands with a reggae-ish feel. Not bad bands at ALL.. Just NOT reggae. There are so many AMAZING bands coming out of Jamaica right now..Raging Fyah, Rootz Underground, Pentateuch, Chronixx & Zinc Fence, Protoje & Indiggnation, Tarrus Riley & Black Soil who deserve much more international respect & recognition. I understand every tree has leaves & branches but you must RESPECT THE ROOTS!
