Why is American violence against people in the Middle East nobler and more acceptable than Middle Eastern terror attacks on the US? Does perhaps our technological superiority falsely indicate to some Americans our moral superiority? Glenn Greenwald points out that we sometimes "glorify[] our own violence against them as noble, [in part because] we slaughter them with shiny, high-tech drones, cluster bombs, jet fighters and cruise missiles, while they use meat cleavers and razor blades"
