Why is President Obama an advocate of enforcing the law when that law may be be enforced against young, disenfranchised black protesters--but when it comes to torturers he is willing to excuse their behavior, urge us not to become sanctimonious, and even call the torturers real patriots? Why is Obama not an advocate of law and order when it comes to war crimes (that he is facilitating) in Gaza? Why is he not an advocate of law and order when the CIA is illegally spying on members of the Senate Foreign Intelligence Committee?
