Why is it I so often find myself wanting to apologize for what the church has done to others? All the time, I meet people who have been shunned, mistreated, and lied to to an extent they trust nothing about God. This makes me so sad. I wish people would stop misrepresenting the church and what we are supposed to be. If I had a dime for every person I have met that hates God because of lying people, I would be rich at this point in my life. Stop screwing people over in Gods name! Stop lying to them and acting like our lives are perfect! It is only by grace through faith and the blood of Jesus... anything else spoken in hate and harsh judgement is not gentle, loving, meek, or kind.... Yes, there are harsh truths to tell, so tell them with humility and move on... only God can decide, only the Holy Spirit can convict, and only Jesus can save.... Keep it simple and lets see God win some souls instead of chasing people into the abyss and separation from our beautiful Father in Heaven! We are the representation of Christ to this world, Let us share that image with compassion and joy instead of hate and ignorance please!!! :(
