Study: Regular dermatology exams boost chances for early melanoma diagnosis Melanoma patients who saw a dermatologist regularly were more likely to have thinner, in situ lesions at the time of diagnosis than patients who did not have regular dermatology exams, a retrospective analysis of data involving 388 patients found.
