Why is it called the "American Dream"? By Michael Pinson - TopicsExpress

Why is it called the "American Dream"? By Michael Pinson Americans for Freedom, Founder It is because America is about very limited government, Capitalism, Freedom, Equal Opportunity, the legal right to the pursuit to happiness where a person can save and build personal wealth to be financially independent of the government without being attacked by the government. There is no guarantee of happiness, but only the opportunity to be happy. It is where anyone can legally come to America and have the opportunity to pursue their own dream. They are not guaranteed anything aside of Equal Opportunity and Individual Freedom. America has a different government system from any other country. We have a Constitution as a Republic. We are not a democracy. It is like no other in the world. The office of the President only has limited powers by law. We have 3 branches of government for checks and balances, to prevent corruption and even a dictatorship. We established this country so we would not be like European countries. Do you ever hear a person say the "French Dream", "China Dream" or "Mexican Dream"? No. everyone wants to come to America for the "American Dream and Freedom". So why in the world have Americans accepted for people in America to end the "American Dream", ignore the US Constitution and our laws and convert our country from a Free American Republic to a Socialist Democratic State as what modern day Europe is today? Why? As radical groups take over our schools, colleges and government, it is all a matter of time before the masses become brainwashed to support the latter and not even realize what they are doing is destroying our Free American Republic. It is right from the Socialist/Communist handbook to rally the people with income class hate, to form "Workers unions" and get them to support Socialism, without them realizing they are even supporting Socialism. Today the Government has grown so large, with increasing powers, it is actually 20% of the entire US economy. This is in direct contradiction of our Founding Fathers and Constitution. The government is to be limited and has limited duties and powers. This too has become derailed more and more over the years where the Constitution may no longer even matter. If this point it reached, then we have lost what has made America great. Is this the Beginning of the End of the American Dream?
