Why is it so hard to surrender your will, desires, dreams to God ? Going about your things your way which never brings you true happiness or fulfillment. Just temporary fixes that leave you never truly satisfied and feeling empty inside. Its like a dog chasing his own tail in circles repeating the same cycle and not going in any direction. Why chase what the world has to offer which is really nothing in return. But God knows what is best for you but you need to surrender to him everything that is not pleasing to God in your life. Think about it do you want to be a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness? For in the Word of God says regarding God and Possessions in the Book of Matthew 6:24 (GNT) 24 “You cannot be a slave of two masters; you will hate one and love the other; you will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Choose today to be a Slave of Righteousness For in the Word of God says: Book of Romans 6:15-23 (NLT) 15 Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! 16 Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. 17 Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. 18 Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living. 19 Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. 21 And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Let our Prayer be Today: Dear Heavenly Father God: I come to you this very hour in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. All I want is You Lord Jesus Christ. I surrender my will, my desires, everything that is not pleasing to you in my life. I surrender all to you. Let your will be done in my life and not my will. My heart belongs to you and remove every idol in my heart that keeps me for wanting you and You alone...Save me Jesus, forgive my sins and sinning against you My God, deliver me from evil, and wash me in the Precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and create a pure heart in me, O God and put a new and loyal spirit in me. Do not banish me from your presence; do not take your holy spirit away from me. Close your eyes to my sins and wipe out all my evil. My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. All I want is You, I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
