Why is it that the postman (or postwoman seeing as the feminist brigade has woken up recently) cant put the whole letter though the letter box ? I mean you have an alarm on the house and a box on the wall outside to show the low life burglar that the house is alarmed and the dopey postperson lets them know no one is in the house. Cannot be bothered to do their job properly. I mean its not as though their is an alligator on the other side of the letterbox (now there,s an idea). When I was a temporary postman I managed to get a whole box of chocolates through a bloody letter box. Admittedly the shape was changed slightly.
