Why is the BJP nervous for Delhi Elections. There was an huge wave for change during the general elections. Anti-Incumbency coupled with ineffective media management by the congress only fueled the desire for change. The arrogance of the UPA government didn’t help matter at all. The BJP knew it was a now or never chance. It pulled all it had in its armor for the elections, even if that meant rubbing it in for many things. And then their foot soldiers pulled the victory for them. The situation was similar for many other state elections held in the past. The Modi charisma was too huge for anyone to match. The grass root worker energized by the victory just continued the effort. So what changes for the Delhi Elections. First and foremost, Kejriwal is an effective match for the Modi Charisma. Having an Aura of his own, and his past personal credentials make people recognize him. Also, the fact that he admitted his mistakes has made a lot of people overlook his mis steps in the past. Well, That’s one element of AAP. So Again, What makes BJP Nervous for Delhi Elections. AAP is the only party in the North which can match the might for the Sangh Party worker with its dedicated volunteers. They are selfless and educated as against the other. Also, they are reaching out to the voters and citing real issues and plans while the others have nothing much to offer. On the other hand, the incompetence of the BJP government at the centre is showing up. The economy is not on fire nor is job growth. The informed ones have acknowledged the antics of the fringe. The minority has more than acknowledged the fringe and fear more to come. Also, the large funding by corporates for general elections is done. They wont pump in so much money again for Delhi. The BJP knows that if they lose Delhi, the country gets an Alternative to Modi. It makes it very nervous. The lukewarm response in the Recent Delhi rally just added to the nervousness.
