Why live in Taiwan? heres a couple of examples of why, 1: Renewed resident visa last week, the clerk noted due to late notification of my address change I should be fined $US50......she advised to adjust the date I moved so dont get fined. perfect. 2: Went and picked up new resident visa which was ready 10 days earlier than expected, parked in public pay parking lot. Walked into the immigration office, got the visa and out the door in under 3 minutes. 3: Inserted magnetic parking card into payment machine....rejected, no fee due to not parking for long enough.... but wait, theres more... Left phone in a taxi, taxi drives off, does U turn, returns phone. Friend leaves his phone in a taxi, driver takes it to the police station and they deliver it back to him. Forget to take wallet and phone off motorcycle at night, left overnight on street, all still there in the morning. Leave sunglasses and phone on the table on pavement at the local cafe, go to bathroom, doesnt get stolen.
