Why respect goes a long way. It even saves lives. If this guys parents showed him that human life and respecting other humans was important, he may not have turned out so desensitized to death. I believe serial killers are born with something in their minds that if not dealt with, will become deadly. However, this guy was just shown such little value for his own safety and life, that he saw no value in others lives. If you arent taught to only do to others as you would want done to yourself, how can you understand what life is worth? My niece picks on the dogs now and then but she is instantly told No, Peyton! That hurts! Or we use the word owie because thats what she says when she gets hurt and asks us to kiss it better. After we taught her pulling the dogs fur made an owie she said sorry and kissed them better. So, yeah, she got yelled at for a split second to get her attention or a slap on the wrist but we then just explained WHY we got upset and that we still loved her. She knows auntie Cassie will still protect her, play games, and tuck her in, even if I do correct bad behavior. I am NOT saying what this guy did wasnt his fault though. He made the conscious decision to kill. No one told him to do it. However, he was never taught he was loved no less just because he got punished. (screw punished he got beat regardless. :/) Teach your kids but damn, teach them theyre valued too. Its beyond clear that this guy was first confused, then scared (never knew when he was going to be hurt), then learned he had power by copying his disgusting fathers behavior. He has no calling card or signature. He just became so desensitized that he lost any emotional connection to his conscience. While its obvious he knows what he did was wrong and that he became terrible, his emotions just arent there to give a damn. This is why mutual respect is such a big thing for me. Regardless of what people say, it does make huge changes. https://youtube/watch?v=QXgi72W2H7U
