Why this size obsession? Ive been offroading, for fun and for a reasonable profit, for a long time, in a lot of places. Ive seen skillful drivers take stock vehicles to amazing places, Ive seen the opposite too. Ive never felt the need for 35s (I ran them briefly on my dear old troopy, but the trade off in performance :) and handling :) :) made it really a very silly proposition). We are all driving around in the most advanced ute on the -normal person- market. Im struggling to understand the obsession with wanting to fit 35s (not that they are 35s, unless you are going back to 15 rims, which you cant). If you want a monster truck or comp truck (such a stupid term) then you should have bought a patrol, sorry, but thats just the physics of the matter. Enjoy your BT/Ranger, get it out and have some fun with it. I can assure you that mine has seen more fun (even the kind of fun that pays me), driven well, than most GUs and Cruisers would see in their lifetime and I have never, not once, wished for tyres bigger than the 265/75r16 GeneralMT which I was able to fit after only modest suspension increase and without compromising any other vehicle systems, warranty or legality. I know that it is each to their own, sure, why not. I believe, however, that there are members here, and elsewhere in the BT/Ranger community who are being led to believe that bigger tyres are some kind of per-requisite for getting out and having some enjoyment in your ute. They really arent, but they really are a whole world of compromise in so many other ways. Just my thoughts on the matter, you are, or course, welcome to agree or disagree, but if you are on the fence, or of the belief that 35s are somehow necessary, then if my post does nothing other than to give you pause to think about it - regardless of your decision - then I will have offered something of value. Happy to discuss. Dave
