Wife and I were talking about this recently... How, there should be a book for the first year of marriage... Maybe there is. Dunno. Not the point. Because thats where the fit hits the shan. You know, the first 8 months your all floating in this chemical sea of stupid, so you decide to get married, and you have this whole big party to plan...which means that for however long all that takes you dont really have to deal with the real world and each others bullshit. Until after the wedding. I think a pretty good argument could be made that the people who are willing to spend a bunch of money on a wedding are looking at status symbols and instant gratification.
