Wild horses in the Danube Delta, the Letea Forest, Romania - Letea - TopicsExpress

Wild horses in the Danube Delta, the Letea Forest, Romania - Letea Forest is the oldest natural reservation in Romania. It was established in 1938, declaring the forest a nature reserve. It is located between the Sulina and Chilia branches of Danube in the Danube Delta. It covers an area of approximately 2,825 ha (6,980 acres). Now some say: Project to Prevent Feral (science cannot even use the word Wild anymore) Hoses From entering the Letea Forest - According to the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Administration, there are between 2000 and 4000 feral horsed roaming freely in the Delta. (only about 1000 actually are there). More precisely, they are endangering the Letea forest where the young vegetation cannot develop because the horses enter and eat or otherwise destroy it. My response was to that post, horses were there first, if they want to damage it, because humans damage ten billion more things, than to worry about natural animals in their natural environment. I was just thinking yesterday that horses are big and strong when wild and they probably dont have many predictors except for men in all their wars over the past 3000 years using them for killing. I say keep the free ones left free, and put some hay down.
