Wildlife officials stock 22 million fish in 2014 LANSING, Mich. (AP) – State wildlife officials say they stocked more than 22 million fish this year in Michigan waterways. The Department of Natural Resources announced the year-end results Monday at the same time as its fall fish-stocking efforts. The departments Fisheries Division stocked six species representing more than 483,000 fish during the autumn season. Fall stockings consisted of brook, lake and rainbow trout, as well as steelhead, Atlantic salmon, walleye and muskellunge at more than 120 sites statewide.
