Wildlife1 yesterday rescued a captive male Asiatic black bear who was in danger of being sold by his owner to animal traders. The young bear was found to be in good health and had apparently been well cared for but, according to the rescuers, was likely to be sold into the wildlife trade, destined either for a bile farm or killed for its body parts which fetch a high price on the black market. The bear is now safe at the organisations sanctuary.
