Will FIFA honor Asian referees by letting young referee prodigy Mr.Ravshan Irmatovand (Uzbek) to officiate European ~ Latin American Final match? Or FIFA will boot him out like they did to the renowned UAE referee – Ali Bu Jassim - in world cup final 2002??? Ali was the best referee in that edition of world cup with excellent consistency and widely expected to take charge of European ~ Latin America (Germany vs Brazil) match and even FIFA advised him non officially to get prepared. In the eleventh hour, European lobbying worked out against him and Collina - Famous Italian referee- was appointed in the final, instead. Ravshan is the record four time award winner of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and he sets a milestone in the Netherlands v Costa Rica game by becoming the first referee to officiate Nine World Cup matches. He has been a Fifa international official since 2003 and made his World Cup debut in 2010 where he also set a few tournament records. Taking charge of five matches in South Africa, he equalled the record for most number of matches officiated in a single World Cup, when he was selected for the Netherlands - Uruguay semi-finals. At 32 years of age, he was also the tournaments youngest referee that year. He is known for his extreme level of physical fitness – ability to be as much as closer to the incidents –, composure, sensible interpretation of laws of the game and its application, excellent consistency and management skills to officiate high tempo matches.
