Will Keane and Tom Lawrence have both signed long-term contracts with Manchester United according to reports. Lawrence broke through into United’s first-team last year and has been rewarded for making real progress last year after impressing out on loan with Carlisle and Yeovil as well. After making his debut against Hull, it’s not too much of a surprise to see Lawrence sign a new contract and his challenge is now to break through into the first-team. As for Keane, he returned to fitness in the latter stages of the season after spending most of it injured on the sidelines and the club clearly felt he deserved another chance to prove himself, so much so that he was given a place in the USA Tour squad ahead of James Wilson to the surprise of many.
