Will continue this sad saga. In the last paragraph, I misspelled LIMO DRIVER. The marriage between Dennis & Penny did not last too lomg, Penny returned to California, and a divorce happened, Scott spent the summers with Mom & Dad. Mom would get a 15 day ticket on the GreyHound Bus, and go to California, bring Scott back to New Richmond, and get another 15 day ticket, and take him back home. SSome ti mes, Moms sister Vera or Beaulah would go with Mom. On one trip to get, Scott, Dennis was to pick Mom up at the bus station, but connections went astray, so Mom stayed at a Motel This was a Saturday night. Sunday morning, she got the telephone number of the Church of Christ, and asked them to pick her up for church services. A few minutes later, a nice couple knocked on her door, and told her they were to take her to Church. So they drove out of the driveway, , and about 100 yards, pulled into another driveway. She was embarassed todeath, but she walked back to the Motel. Scott graduated from highschool and never got a trip back to New Richmond, but he kept in touch with Moom & Dad. Around 1983, Dennis met Kathy Yazell, from Cincinnati, they worked several jobs together, mostly exterior painting, and work was nil to nothing during the winter months, so they moved to Hobe Sound, FL They started a business of interior and exterior painting. During their years of painting, they met several famous people, and painted their homes, one I remember, was Clint Black, Burt Reynolds, Several retired Pharmacy brand names. Woody and I made a visit to Hobe Sound,a nd visited with sister Helen, and Dennis would be the chef, he could grill a steak until you could cut it with a fork. His hospitality was unwavering, sincere and he had a knack of making a person feel comfortable. He was an entertaining tour guide,. he was proud of his number of vocabulairy words, his ability to explain Voltair, his love of classical music. (please dont grade me on spelling, or putting a hanging participle onto a pronoun, This sinus and upper respitoy infection had upset my entire system). For the past 5 years, DEnnis had failing health, lots of bypasses in the legs arteries, he seem to crawl into a hole, read his books and and the pc was his friend. He finally talked to sister, Kay, myself and Brother Robert shortly after sister Emoleen passed away, He told each of us what his body was going through, but had a good outlook about his health problems being favorable. I have been unable to locate Scott Bker, whose last address was Visalia, California. Last ime I talked to him, he was a truck driver, for a local vegetable farm, had married and had two little girls. The sad thing about Dennis was he and Kathy did not marry, so when he die during bowel removal surgery, the VA Hospital would not accept her signature for releace of his body, only next of kin. Not being able to locate Scott, I signed the release form for his body to be taken to the Funeral Home. Then I had to sign forms to have his body to be cremated. I talkled to two people at the VA Hospital and arranged to have the cremains to be buried at The National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl. That is where Woody is, in aNiche, and that is here I will be when the time comes. At the age of 89, and time is flying . Thanks again, and any help will be appreciated if we can located Scott Baker.
