William Blum is a leading expert on American Foreign Policy. He left the State Department in 1967 because of his opposition to United States action in Vietnam. Blum has been a freelance journalist in the US, Europe and South America. He is the author of the well-known book, Killing Hope: US Military and CIA Interventions since World War II. Mark Zepezauer used Blums work as the inspiration for his well-known CIAs Greatest Hits, published in 1994. Blums new book Americas Deadliest Export: Democracy, The Truth about US Foreign Policy and Everything Else has been called a remarkable collection that concentrates on matters of great significance by Professor Noam Chomsky. It has also been reviewed by Professor Edward Herman who commented that the book is brimming with wit and quotations that are both laughable and frightening.
