Wimbledon at Westmeston for the Acorns Nursery School A very successful community event took place last week. Young budding Wimbledon champions of the future from The Acorns Nursery School were put through their paces by tennis coaches Chris and Freya at Plumpton Tennis Club, close to their Westmeston nursery school. Maria, the club Chair, kindly arranged and organised a tennis morning to celebrate the Wimbledon fortnight. It gave The Acorns children an opportunity to have fun on the court and allow parents and staff to see at first hand how to help and support the children with the development of their ball and racquet skills. “I would like to offer special thanks to Maria, the Chair of Plumpton Tennis Club for hosting such a wonderful event and making us so welcome,"said Janet Irwin, the owner of The Acorns. "We hope it will provide a spring board for Acorns children to adopt tennis as one of their key sports.
