Winner of comment of the day by Lucid News When we go to work at a business, we expect it to have clear objectives and goals. But when we watch our politicians govern our countries, we accept that their goals are vague and intangible. If we wish to see real change, we must make goals for ourselves as individuals and as a people. Based on my research and reflection, I have identified six goals that western industrialized countries can immediately work toward. 1. Access to food for all. 2. Access to fresh water for all. 3. Access to medical care for all. 4. Access to education for all. 5. Access to shelter for all. 6. Access to transportation for all. We are rich enough to provide these things. Here in the United States our wasted food alone could feed half of the country. We have more empty homes than we have homeless people. Its not a resource problem so much as a distribution problem. Its not a distribution problem so much as a problem of the heart. The runner up was, I like Turtles! ;) MH
