Winona State University Cross-Cultural Scholarship Winona State University Founded in 1858, Winona State University is a comprehensive public university with close to 8,900 students. As the oldest member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, Winona State offers 80 undergraduate, pre-professional, licensure, graduate, and doctorate programs on its three campuses: the original Main Campus in Winona, the West Campus in Winona, and Winona State University-Rochester. The Cross-Cultural Scholarship is available to all international students who qualify for admission to Winona State University and hold an F-1 Student Visa. These scholarships are equivalent to the difference between the resident rate of tuition and the non-resident rate of tuition. Since tuition is based on a tuition band, the amount of the scholarship for the Academic Year of 2012 - 2013 is valued at an estimate of USD $5,600.00 based on 24 - 36 semester credits. Scholarship recipients share their culture with Americans through a series of projects as part of the requirement of the Cross-Cultural Outreach Program.
