Winston Medical Center wants to thank everyone in our community and surrounding communities who came out last night and today to assist in evacuating our patients and residents. Emergency personnel, surrounding hospitals and nursing homes sent staff immediately to assist. All patients and residents have been relocated and are safe. Winston Medical Center was severely damaged during the tornado. We are proud to have had no injuries during this catastrophe. WMC is committed to getting repaired and back running as quickly as possible. At this time we have no indication on when or exactly what will occur. Thank you to our wonderful and dedicated staff who worked all day and night transporting residents.
