Because a wintry mix of sleet, snow & freezing rain is predicted to occur throughout the day and because temperatures are expected to remain at or below freezing Tues, and well into Weds., IT WILL BE DIFFICULT, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP BRIDGES, OVERPASSES & ROADWAYS OPEN & SAFE, as ice can accumulate on top of de-icing measures that may be taken. In addition, bridges & overpasses which are open may be periodically closed or restricted in order to conduct de-icing activities, resulting in heavy traffic. If you were caught in traffic due to last week’s winter storm, or were prevented from reaching a destination due to closed roads, bridges & overpasses, EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER THE SAME PROBLEMS TUES & POSSIBLY INTO WEDS AND TAKE MEASURES TO AVOID PLACING YOURSELF IN SUCH A SITUATION. At the present time, WE ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENTS for schools, roadways or governmental offices. Officials will be meeting mid-morning today to evaluate the status of this predicted weather event and the appropriate actions to be taken. We will promptly post information as it becomes available to us. Please continue to monitor local news and weather stations for updates and additional information. Be prepared!
