A 6 or greater accumulation would make this the heaviest snowfall in Chicago in nearly 3 weeks and one of the four heaviest snow systems of the season. Snow, heavy at times through mid-afternoon becoming lighter and more occasional later in the day and into Saturday evening. Snow intensities wont be uniform during the day. Theyll vary -- amid northeast winds 8 to 18 mph. Significant 5 to 10 accumulations are likely in many areas.
