Winters Rigging arrived at the Heritage DiscoveRY Center just before 9AM this morning to deliver our caboose from the Fairgrounds. The car was temporarily unloaded in the parking lot next to the area where the display track will be installed. We have ordered the stone ballast and will prepare the track area early next week. The two boxcars remaining at the fairgrounds will be moved later next week along with the panel track under the cars which will be used for the display track at the HDC. Then all the cars will be placed on the display track. We are looking for help to offset the cost of the track construction and the cost of the move itself. CSX has generously donated $6,000 towards the move but we need to raise about $8,500 more to help cover the bills.
