Wisdom about our responsibility to Treaty here in the States from Alex White Plume "i held a discussion with one of our treaty delegates,he informed me to explain the treaty authority.we operated under the law of article 6 of the u s constitution,treaties are the supreme law of the land.we have a signed document with the approval of congress,and signed by the president of the united states.when the treaty was accepted,our grandfathers gave their word to the cannumpa,that we will live in peace,under the terms of the treaty.,while america hides behind silence when it comes to our issues.we want americans to understand history,and bring honor to their people by keeping their word,and honor this act of congress,the 1851,and 1868 treaty with the sioux,are the supreme law of the land.we are honorable peoples.the elected leadership in america will not attend to this issue,so we ask the voters in america to understand the situation and pressure your congressmen to meet with us and establish a protocol to address treaty violations with the lakota."
