Wish all my dear FB friends a very Merry and Magical XMas...good cheer and celebrations for the rest of 2014. We are off to Kerala for a longish holiday tomorrow. First there is the global alumni meet of my Alma Mater College of Engineering Trivandrum and then the 30 year meet of the class of 84. The old gentleman in the picture is also a Varghese tho not a relative. Dr P.C Varghese is 93 one of the oldest surviving CETians but sharp as a pin and with all his wits around him, something that he attributes to being an academic all his life.... he was in the founding team that set up IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras and till a couple of years ago was teaching Civil Engineering in Anna University... truly a remarkable personality. Christmas and the weekend after is a family reunion in the quaint little hill station of Kuttikanam in the verdant slopes of the Western Ghats. Wish all of you a fab end to 2014
