Wishing a very happy, healthy, and peaceful 60th birthday to the best mother any one could ask for. I offer a tribute to my mom for the following: 31 years ago, almost to the day, my mom spent her birthday in court, fighting for $40 a month in child support. Fighting for freedom, to stay in the country she emigrated to with her four-and-a half-year-old child to live as a family. Fighting to stay and try to survive in a foreign land now that her other half changed his mind. She survived the awful time and proceeded to work for the next 30 years harder than anyone I know to raise her child, and single-handedly put her through college. As if her strength and perseverance werent clear enough, she battled serious illness...and won. She continues to work harder than anyone I know. Shes intelligent, wise, funny, and the kindest, most giving person you have the pleasure of meeting. Her generosity prevails for all who know her here, as well as our family in Romania. We are all truly blessed for having the privilege of loving her. Happy birthday Anu...I love you and am forever indebted.
