With 2 or 2.1 speakers there is a small noticeable difference between Stereo Xpand (basically Surround Sound over 2 speakers and only using my front 3 speakers Left, Centre, Right) compared to Stereo Surround (which is using my full 7.2 setup Left, Centre, Right, Side L/R, Rear L/R and my 2 subwoofers) I hope some of you can hear the difference but you may need to turn your sound up a little. This is using my soundcards built-in X-Fi CMSS-3D which basically up-mixes standard stereo sound (Left,Right) to create a more intense sound environment over 2 or more speakers although the more speakers you have the better the effect
