With 4 kids, organization is premium in our house. If you want a view of mass chaos, visit our house when organization has taken a back seat. Our kids are great kids, but typical. We usually have a nightly drill to get them all situated before school the next day. One of our instructions every weekend is for them to sort out all of their uniforms so they can be washed & ironed for the next week. However, when they all got up to get dressed this morning, they were running around like little chickens with their head cut off. They couldnt find everything they needed that was supposed to be put out the night before. I have a confession: I went off. Now normally, I try to keep their mornings low key because I hate to fuss and correct them before they go to school. This was not one of those mornings. On the way to drop them off, I got a good holy spirit check. While they did disobey and deserved correction, it was not as serious as I felt because they are still kids. Kids are flawed human beings like we are, so they mess up like we do. However, while the holy spirit brings conviction, God does not fuss or hold our wrongdoing over our heads. He offers grace as a daily reset button available to us any time we may need it & even when we dont deserve it. I had to apologize to my children. Our goal is to be like him and offer grace to those around us who may be in the wrong and those around us just may be our kids! #HappyMonday
