With Great Blessings comes Great Responsibility It’s a great opportunity when an answered prayer is finally come to reality. But what’s next? Countless Christian I’ve known express the joy of being blessed for getting a new job but a few weeks passed and they begin to have excuses of late attendance, several months they began to lose interest in attending church activities and as years pass by I see them more and more involve in attending parties, personal, business activities and work to even gain more of what they call blessings to sustain their fleshly lust and splendid lifestyle. Sadly to say they began to lose sight of the real purpose of the blessings and turn everything to a curse being slave once more. As guilty as I am experiencing this at my early Christian stage I see it happening over and over again. I felt the pain of what God might be enduring to gracefully understand us. So lets travel back to the pass: “Rewind… : ) “Where all things started with a simple prayer request like everyone I heard of who simply asking for blessings. In the beginning • “We have nothing to begin with” Joshua 1:21, Ecclesiastes 3:20 o All our effort and hard work is fueled by God never with our strength, knowledge or experiences. If you have done something great, it’s because God has enable you. I Tim 1:12 • “We don’t deserve anything yet it was given anyways because God love us” – Romans 5:8 o Let us not disregard this unconditional love but learned to share it especially to the household of faith. Gal 6:10 • “We are blessed because God love us” – Jeremiah 33:3, o God is our true employer : )if we can’t please and make our employer happy, then we don’t deserve to be a servant/employer Our present and ending purpose should always be to glorify God wither it is big or small blessings. o Giving thanks to God – make a simple prayer and say “Thank You God” it’s not that hard try it. o Supporting the Ministry of God – Our pastor remind us you don’t need to be a preacher or a pastor to serve the Lord. You can be a doctor, a nurse, owner/employer, janitor etc. and still can serve God. Mind you brethren start by attending church services at least. o If you been blessed, help your fellow brethren become a living testimony of what God has given you, do not keep your blessings to yourself. Gal 6:10, I John 3:17-18, I Timothy 6:17-19 In short Fulfill your great responsibility of giving back the glory to God and by sharing the same blessings to others then you know you are greatly blessed with great peace and joy in your heart. Acts 20:35
