With Permission, sharing a post from Glenda Moon Parks of Georgia -speaking about the recent gathering of Carolyn Hunt and Jayton Lord in Unadilla Ga........ Glenda Moon Parks November 20 · Edited. Horse Friends…..Got your attention? This was quite a “touching moment” from last weekend. Dave and I attended a horsemanship/cow working clinic presented by Carolyn Hunt and Jaton Lord. As a whole, it was the best clinic experience ever. As most of you know, and (if you don’t, please look him up), Carolyn was not only Ray Hunts wife, she was his right hand for many years. She shares his passion, his knowledge and his devotion to the horse. She brings Ray’s calmness and perspective and presents it in a way you can almost hear Rays voice. Jaton is Carolyn and Rays grandson. He is a breath of really fresh air. He is a seriously talented trainer, (very successful on the NRCHA circuit as well as the world level in others) oozes “horse perspective” and things just make sense to him. Pretty much like Ray. He is also a very talented instructor with a devotion to his students that is genuine and apparent. He worked hard for each horse and rider and the progression of each was remarkable! . And so much FUN, the riders all had a blast! For any of you who want to progress in your horsemanship or need a crash course on cows please PLEASE do your research now and plan on riding with us next spring.
