With all the bad news and negative in the world today like the ebola issue and this damned election and politics, I want to share some congratulations and some thanks to all involved in the MCI football game last night. Nick Hubel who is a special needs kinda kid plays for MCI, and last night to start the second half, he got to play for the first time this year and he was put in as quarterback. The other kids on the team say he is always the first one at practice and the last one to leave, and is always there cheering and supporting his team, so he has paid his dues. With some coordination and help from Medomak Valley and their players and coaching staff, Nick threw a touchdown pass, and then ran for the 2 point conversion. The team then put him up on their shoulders and carried him off the field. I am sure it was the best night he has ever had. Congrats to all involved, and a special tip of the hat to the Medomak Valley players and coaches. A very classy thing you did last night. Made for a lot of cheers and tears, and one happy football player.
