With all the happenings and disputes around the world, one thing that really emerged on this is that people have now increased the awareness of knowing our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam. It is not to deny the fact that this beautiful act of Muslims around the world speaking about who the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was is just so heart warming to see and read. If only we have spoken about this like him before. subhan’Allah. ___ I know a lot of people have written facts about our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, Alhamdulillah, the hashtag #WhoisMuhammad has been really drastically doing well, may Allah Azza Wa Jall accept all our efforts. Amin. With the stories of the lives of the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum, with their struggles with the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, one thing that you would really realize is how humble, forgiving and caring [to the Muslims] he was. I will share bits of three things about him today. in sha Allah. 1) There were moments that he Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam would sit with the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum that when someone from a different land comes to see him, he Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam would be hard to recognize because of the simplicity he had, because he sat with them in a way that he was one of them. Such was Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam. 2) And who can forget the time when he Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was in Taif? When the people of Taif threw stones at him that in that description, it was said that only his feet were not covered with blood due to the intense throwing of stones at him. I know, if this would have happened these days, it would anger everyone who loves him but look at how the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam responded to the cruelty he was shown and given, he responded with a du’a that was so sincere that it moved mountains and made JIbrail Alaihi Salaam descend from the heavens together with the angel assigned in the mountains to offer the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam something and this was if he wanted him [the angel of the mountains] to crash the people of Taif, he was given the opportunity to revenge but look at how he Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam responded, “Even if these people do not accept Islam, I do hope from Allah that there will be persons from among their progeny who would worship Allah and serve His cause.” Allahu’akbar! Such was Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam. 3) Have you ever cried for people whom you have never met nor seen? Our blessed Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam did this for you. Remember that hadith where he cried for nights asking Allah Azza Wa Jall to save his Ummah that they don’t go to the struggles/punishments of the grave and such? That only after Jibrail Alaihi Salaam descended to reassure him made him stop from weeping for us? Subhan’Allah. After nights of crying and praying, he came out and Abu Bakr Radiyallahu Anhu saw him and he was so pale yet he refused to eat which made Abu Bakr put an ample of food to his mouth just so he gets to eat. All of this because he Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam wanted and cared for you so much. How could you care so much for people who didn’t even know you nor have you ever seen them? Such was Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam ___ These might be just ample tidbits about the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam but my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, these three tidbits bear such impact in their stories and I pray we all realize the impact that there is in these stories. The best way we could defend his name is by acting upon what he taught us, enjoining the good and refraining from what is evil and most of all, we all have to be tolerant and forgiving even if we could revenge. I know it hurts us when someone speaks bad about him but we know who he really was and we know Allah Azza Wa Jall honored him with the best thing ever, he was the seal of the Prophets, he the Best of all His Creations, He was a MERCY to ALL MANKIND.
