With all the negative posts today about the situation happening in Ferguson, MO. I wanted to share something positive thats going on among us. Many of you know that I give as much of my time as I possibly can to sendmeonvacation.org and my dear friend Cathy Backus and her crusade in helping cancer survivors. This past weekend, Cathy and SendMeOnVacation.org took a group of women on a 4 day Ensenada cruise. The women, who naturally now struggle with feeling beautiful and womanly anymore after their fight with cancer were given the opportunity to have full hair, makeup and costumes done completed with a Mermaid themed photo shoot. The women LOVED it and said how they havent felt this amazing in years and were so thankful to be reminded that they are still amazingly beautiful and strong women. They were like celebrities on the cruise and people wanted pictures with them. Literally this brought tears to my eyes to see. It feels so good to be a part of what she is doing and Im so thankful to see the fundraising efforts being put to good use 💗
