With all the politics stuff going on lately, I wanted to say one thing... and this isnt really a political statement, its more a statement of being a human (despite my attempts to be a robot). I love all my friends. Youre all very different and unique. That said, I know too many people who surround themselves with people who are exactly like themselves. For one reason or another, they build a circle of cognitive bias which they use to excuse their behavior. The world is full of millions of people who are going to think differently than you but the thing to keep in mind, no matter how much you disagree with them, theyre not wrong. Theyre not right either. No one ever wakes up in the morning, get out of bed and goes, Today, Im going to be wrong. or Today, Im just going to be a total asshole to everyone. (OK, Im sure there are a few who do) In general, everyone does whats best for them at the time they make any decision. If you disagree with them, dont hate them, dont unfriend them, just talk to them. Relate to them. If you dont have the patience to try and help them understand your point of view, and you do not have the patience to understand their point of view, then dont be friends with them. But dont go around acting high and mighty because you dont have the inclination.
