With all the posts I have seen lately about people who cant afford to take care of their pets or their care, I thought these were a good reminder of the commitment one makes when deciding to welcome a 4-legged member into their family. A pet is a responsibility and commitment. A pet NEEDS you to provide for its daily care. A pet WANTS you to talk to it, hold it, love it, nurture it. A pet cannot survive without you doing what you committed to when you brought it home. In return your pet will be there for you when no one else is, will protect you, will listen without judging and give you unconditional love. A child is a responsibility and commitment. A child NEEDS you to provide for its daily care. A child WANTS you to talk to it, hold it, love it, nurture it. A child cannot survive without you doing what you committed to when you got pregnant/brought the child home. In return your child will be there for you when no one else is, will listen without judging, will protect you and will give you unconditional love. If you had a child, would you just look for anyone to take it when you couldnt afford to care for it? Would you just discard the child onto the streets and let them fend for themselves? Or would you find a means by which to secure the funding you needed to provide?
